New limited edition single
– only available in 666 streams!
EDIT: Now sold out. Or “streamed out”.

What?! Yes, you read that right. On Friday we will stream our new single “Lögnlakanet” here on our website. But after 666 streams it’s sold out – or ”streamed out” to be precise. No physical release, no Spotify. Mega rare.

Why? Well, today everything is 100% available all the time, everywhere, forever. So we thought we’d try a little experiment. What happens when you strictly limit something that’s always unlimited, as in the world of streaming? Like a a really rare 7” single only pressed in a few copies, but digital… Maybe no one will give a shit about this weird idea, maybe the song will ”stream out” and be gone in a matter of hours, maybe someone makes a copy and puts it on a cassette or uploads it somewhere. We don’t know, and that’s the fun part. But the song is a fucking beast, if we may say so.

It features some of the heaviest riffs we’ve ever written, and our friend Martin Hederos on Professor Balthazar-esque organ and grand piano. It has a huge drum sound recorded at legendary Atlantis Metronome and mean guitar and bass tones, tweaked by co-producer Anton Sundell. Mixed by Simon Söderberg. Mastered by Magnus Lindberg. So listen, while you still can. And come see us live. Tour dates, tickets and merch below.

Stream count: 666 of 666. STREAMED OUT!

“Head Hammer Man”
– out now!

This album is about the unsung hero Alrik Andersson and the dramatic events in Horndal during the Great Strike in Sweden in 1909. Alrik Andersson, a 27 year old metalworker from Horndal, is chosen as the union leader. He finds himself in the eye of the storm and is forced to take a stand on the barricades for the sake of his members, struggling with lockouts, scabs and greedy officials. When the manager of the Horndal factory starts evicting the unionized workers from their homes, leading to famine and starvation, sympathetic workers from far away rush to Horndal to stop the harassment. The military arrives in Horndal and the country teeters on the brink of civil war. Eventually, the King and the Prime Minister forbid the manager of the Horndal Steel Mill from evicting the workers and instead order their reinstatement. As a result, Alrik Andersson is blacklisted all over Sweden and can’t find work anywhere. Faced with continued harassment, he is forced in exile and emigrates to America. In 1910, he, his wife, and their young sons make their dangerous journey across the Atlantic, where he eventually finds work in Chicago as – Head Hammer Man. This album is dedicated to Alrik Andersson.
Hail to the Head Hammer Man!
